| golden temple mail train? i'm going from mumbai to kota, i was hoping to snag a bed on the mumbai rajdhani, but the site says no availability for my date in november (already booked?) the golden temple run seems like the next best bet. anyone have any experiences on it? just wondering before i try and book a seat. thanks |

What quota are you looking at? You shouldn't be getting a 'not available' message unless you're selecting a quota for which no berths are made available on this train. (lady's quota?) How long before your journey date will you be in India? The Rajdhani has a foreign tourist quota (in 2A & 3A) and will likely still have availability maybe 3-5 days before the journey (maybe even 2 days before). foreign tourist quota tickets can't be booked from outside India. | |

| thanks for the replies. i know, it was strange, because on other trains there's waitlist, or something else which comes up. tourist quota came up with 2 available for 2ac, but like you said, can't be booked from outside india. oh well. since it's the first and biggest leg of my trip, i went ahead and booked on the jaipur express - the timing for arrival seemed a little better than golden temple. we went for 1ac, because we really just want to crash out on the overnight. hopefully it's an alright train! |
