from shoranur there are many trains that go to cochin ie ernakulam junction..

Thanks for the info. I can't find GOA on the indian trains website. Does that station have a different name? Is there a place I can find out the station names for all the major towns?

Thanks,

Ian

Hi UJM
There are many train options south to cochin (ernakulem) out of Goa, In the north from Sawantadi Road/Pernem, mid Goa Madgaon or south Goa Canacona,
The train takes between 15 and 18 hours to cover the distance and it's a nice trip.

The following timetable may be helpful.

Southbound trains Goa - Karnataka coast - Kerala.

Train 2618 looks the best overnight option; it departs Madgaon at 20:20 and gets to Ernakulam junction at 11:00 the next morning.

It would cost: -

2A = Rs 1356
3A = Rs 878
SL = Rs 332

Train information.
