Hi,

very good info steven. This will be immensely helpful for the passengers in this route.

But as per the timings, the train is day-running, and are you sure about the accomodation composition in this train?

Normally, a day running train comprises of air-conditioned chair car and normal non-ac sitting compartment. there are executive class chair car in Shatabdi expresses also.

But 2-tier air con, 3-tier air con, and Sleeper Classes are needed for night journeys. they are not given normally in day-running trains.

I cannot find this train in www.indianrail.gov.in

SO, i am a bit confused.

But anyway, a train in this route will be immensely helpful for tourists visiting the golden beaches of Goa and the architectural marvels of Hampi. Many thanks for the info.

regards,

Bhaswaran

The train runs all the way to your great City, It is the newly extended Amaravahi Express running between Howrah-Vasko-Howrah.

It's first journey starts on the 9th departing Howrah at 23:45.

Try searching for HWH to MAO on the Indian Railways website, then change the date to the 9th.

There is something quite unique about this train, see if you can find out what it is.

Goa to Hyderabad

No need to change.

Part of Train 2848 is detached at Dronachellam Junction (where it sits from 18:45 till 23:50), it then is attached to another train (7604) and gets to Kacheguda at 05:00.

2A = Rs 1203
SL = Rs 323

Hyderabad to Goa

On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, Train 7603 departs Kacheguda at 21:15, part of this train is detached and joined to train 2847 at Dronachellam Junction, then gets to Hospet at 06:28 and gets to Madgaon at 13:43.

This train goes from Hospet to Margao on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday only.

There is a small chance the train could be an hour or two late as it starts it's journey in Calcutta.

It departs Howrah at about 23:30 on day 1 and must get to Vasko at about 14:30 on day 3, so 39 hours.

It's one of them journeys that sound so romantic, Calcutta - Goa Express. (yet it's got a different name, can't remember it at the moment)

But the train doesn't touch Maharashtra, neither did the old version (Vijayawada-Vasko) of this train.

Did this train start on a different route?
