Foreign Tourist Quota booth at New Delhi International airport??
Hi all.
In the old airport terminal, there was a foreign tourist quota booth, right after immigration.
Does anyone know, if they were kind enough to move it to the new terminal?
It'll be my first time in the new terminal next month. Can't wait!

I did see an Indian Railways desk when I arrived at Delhi airport in early 2010. Don't know about FTQ there, but you'd expect them to handle that, as well. Busy busy counter mind, I wouldn't expect to leisurely go over some options here. But if you know what and when you want, should work I reckon.
It has since been called into question here whether this desk exists, any longer, or ever has. It has also been suggested that instead or additionally, there may now be a MakeMyTrip desk.
Then I've seen it confirmed again there is a Railways desk.
Bottom line: I don't know
New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS) still has the tourist bureau, first floor or so, Paharganj side, the way up there is signposted, and let no one tell you it isn't there. I've spoken to people who must have stood there and still not found it, I guess the office itself may not be that conspicuous, I suppose if you see a glass office-like door there or so, push it open and ask. I also hear it has in fact been renovated since I was last there. (Rather comical, with a view to all those touts always telling you no it's being renovated
)
Have a swell trip, btw.

Thanks Machadinha. Was that the new terminal in 2010 then?
My last experience using it was about 4 years ago, in the old terminal. I walked out of immigration, and there was a guy sitting there smiling at me from the railways desk. 10 minutes later I was in a taxi holding a FTQ ticket for that night's train to Pathankot. Certainly beat braving the madness of New Delhi station, after arriving on a long flight

Thanks. People keeping an eye out is what we all need
I guess the whole thing remains ambiguous. IndyBoy, do tell us upon landing!
The Tourist Bureau at NDLS I've always found a relaxed and helpful environment to just go over your options in, btw.

Silly thing, isn't it. Who makes these decisions, anyway? It obviously looked to be a most handy thing (and, indeed, heavily used, by domestic passengers far in the majority, I don't think I saw any whiteys in line, at all. Like me, they'd probably have been unaware to expect it there, anyway.)Oh well. Good you just contacted them about it
Again, enjoy! Besides Delhi, where all are you off to?
