Railways cuts down on menu served on Rajdhani

According to a report in Mid-day some days back there is some cost cutting going on in the Rajdhani catering. Due to this they have cut down on soups & continental breakfast. Here's the link

Very True !

Quote:
"The prices had not been revised since 1998. We cut down on the menu because we felt we were feeding too much to passengers," said an official from the tourism and catering department.
Oh I'll miss the soup and Frooti....

Quote:
>>Continental food is not part of the menu
>>No salads for dinner
>>A tetrapack of Frooti that was served after morning tea has been stopped
>>Evening snack comprising three food items reduced to two
>>Soup that was served at 7 pm is not being served anymore

Most likely , your dinner will be waiting for you rather passengers travelling from Delhi would be waiting for dinner. This can sometime be good or sometime bad. If you are hungry then you would love to get when your food is served instantly; if you are not, then the same will annoy you as food will arrive before you settle properly.

Yes, you will served dinner as soon as you board the train and take your berth/seat.
