Food on Himalayan Queen
Looks like the Himalayan Queen for Shimla leaves Delhi at some ungodly hour in the morning.

I bought food from the vendors at Kalka - you place an order and the find you on the toy train just before you leave - i don't recall it being served on Delhi - Kalka or maybe i was just greedy! The Kalka Dal was a little plain but kept us going on the 5 odd hour journey!

Hi,
Your executive ticket sounds like it is on the Shatabdhi train. Which does include breakfast. The vendor who serves a thali at kalka general finds you. You give your seat number and the food comes to you on the train. It is quite good. Enjoy your travels.
