Flying into Delhi - need to get to Udaipur? How?

We are arriving in Delhi from Australia at 7.30pm and wish to travel straight onto Udaipur (as we are spending time in Delhi at a later date). We contemplated flying onto Udaipur however all planes seem to depart the following morning and the only train that night to Udaipur seems to leave at the same time we fly into Delhi.

Does anyone know of any flights or trains to Udaipur leaving Delhi after 9pm?

Our other option is to stay in Delhi for a night - and a catch a flight or train to Udaipur the following day. In this case - is there a hotel at the airport?

You can get a train that departs New Delhi at 22:00 (then Nizamuddin 20 minutes later, not sure what station is closest to the airport) and gets to Bundi and Chittaurgarh the following morning, then have a look around one of these places before moving onto Udaipur.

Don't know when you're planning on arriving but Delhi can get very fog bound during December/January, and the airport is known to close for many hours causing delayed landings & diversions.
Moral of the story, Don't fine tune your Itinerary too tightly at that time of year,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I don't think there is a hotel at the airport like Dubai and other places, but there are hotels close by. One big name hotel is Radisson that is close to the airport. If you are willing to consider taking a bus to Udaipur there cold be more options.
