E Tickets

Just wondering about the e tickets i have booked. I have printed out the Electronic Reservation Slips (these aren't real tickets are they?), and we are W/L 3,4,5, & 6. The train is from Kolkata to Varanasi on the 26 Nov.

I put in my Australian address, not an Indian one. So there's no place to mail the tickets to me in India at the moment. The form did not ask for an Indian post code.

If we get proper berths (not W/L)and i check my bookings, to get 'proper' tickets do i need to get them posted to an Indian address or if i rock up to the ticket/reservation office at Howrah when we arrive in India on the 22 Nov would my printed out Electronic Reservation Slip would i get 'proper' tickets.

I hope this makes sense in all the confusion.

The Electronic Reservation Slips are all you will need for your journey along with an ID proof. There will be no tickets issued and no need for them as the Slip you have got is sufficient.

Another question/issue i have is....it appears they have not taken money out from my credit card...does that mean they won't take money out until my berth is confirmed...or...is there a delay because of time/place/person etc?

I also made a mistake on a booking and paid thru credit card and cancelled it...but that/those transactions do not show on my credit card.

Also, what train do you, or anyone, preferably night train from Varanasi to Agra, pls give correct codes etc of stations etc.

Dont' worrry, you dont have to collect the tickets from anywhere, Your Printout will serve as a Valid E-tkt for you with a Photo Id ie. your Passport.
E-tkt is same as Airline E-tkt.

And about waiting status you can check at irctc.co.in, and 2 hours before departure it will show the Coach & seat no. if your tkt get confirmed.
