E-ticket Refund Policy

I had purchased an E-ticket for 1st AC August Kranti from irctc.com on 8th May 2012 (For 14th June) and i had cancelled it online on 25th May but they have still not refunded the amount. The Refund Status shows Approved but the Receipt Number and Refund Date are blank. Could someone pls tell me how many days does it take to get a refund cause it took took max 3 days earlier. Also is there any number where i can know the current status or speak to someone.

It takes 5-7 days to get refund in Credit card or bank account . You can call to Customer Care No. 011 39340000.

Thank you for your reply i will wait for 2-3 days and if still the amount does not get credited i will contact the above mentioned no.

mail your detail care@irctc.co.in you will get all detail in your mailbox

Now when i check my irctc account it shows receipt number and also shows Refund Date: 03-JUN-2012 but when i checked with my bank they said that they haven't received any refunds.

Banks take a day or two to credit it because the money comes into a pool account. So hang on.

Don't Panic in some cases it might have taken 8 to 10 days too, as because of public holidays. I have cancelled my tickets twice and money was their in my account after 15 days. Still don't stop to look in the matter.

Checked account yesterday and money was transferred ...
