| E Ticket Cancellation - Urgent I have an E ticket for 2203 Garib rath Express from New delhi to Ludhiana for today. The train departs at 2pm but is late by 5 hours, I need to get the ticket canceled. I understand that if train is late by more than 3 hours, there is no cancellation charge. For a normal ticket you get the ticket endorsed and get full refund but I don't know the procedure for getting full refund for E ticket. Anybody please urgent. Thanks in Advance

| The only 1 time I tried to cancel my ticket I was directed to go to the station, fill out a form and then wait in line at the 'cancellation' booth. I was violently sick so, I didn't bother..Not sure if there's another way. I vaguely remember cancelling other tickets on-line (I may be thinking of something else). Perhaps you could check the booking site to see if there's a cancellationg/refund option. Last edited by hellogoodbye; Dec 26th, 2008 at 16:06.. Reason: addition |

| E-ticket can only be cancelled on-line, refund money will be credited to your bank. |

| Thanks hellogoodbye and jyotirmoy for the kind replies. Jyotirmoy, I know that it can be cancelled only online but the question is how to avoid unnecessary cancellation charges when the train is 7 hours late or Railways will credit full amount themselves (very unlikely). |
