As on date there are two direct trains from Delhi to Bikaner, and both of them go in a circutous route.

What does "slip route" mean? Do we have to change trains, or???
The 2463 schedule says it arrives in Jodhpur [JU] at 19:40 and then after "slip route" it departs from Merta Road Junction MTD at 17:28 - weird....

No, some carriages are taken from one train (at MERTA ROAD) and attached to another to take then to Bikaner.

##A portion of 2463 runs to Bikaner (**independently) with bifurication/amalgamation of Bikaner Coaches from the "main train" taking place in MERTA ROAD JUNCTION. In other words, the Routes to Jodhpur and Bikaner get separated at MERTA ROAD JUNCTION.

##Hence, the schedule is NOT WEIRD, since the Bikaner Portion won't go upto Jodhpur!!!!

OK, now I see - the carriage from the Delhi train gets attached to another train at Merta Road...........

There is a direct train from Delhi to Bikaner which is the Rajasthan Sampark Kranti.

Bikaner express and bikaner mail trains now start from Rewari instead of Delhi.

Thank you for all these very usefull information. Hopefully that there are this kind of web sites, as one of the drivers I asked for a price told me that there was no train from Delhi to Bikaner...
I have selected one train which match perfectly to my tour.
The problem is that when I go on the indian rail web site to check the schedule and buy the ticket, this train does not appear.

I am looking for the train ref 4791 going from dehli at 21:20 and arriving at Bikaner at 08:15.
The only train appearing on the website at this date is a train earlier, but the timming doesn't suit as well as the first train. I have also tried on the IRCTC website (and created my account), but it doesn't work.

Can someone tell me how can I book the train 4791 for a departure on November the 2nd of this year

Train 4791 no longer runs, look at the date of the earlier post (about 3 years old).

Use www.erail.in and you'll find 2 trains, one of them going to Lalgarh Jn (also in Bikaner), this one is an overnight train, but it starts it's journey a long way away, so may be a few hours late.

An alternative, go to Agra, then get an overnight train from Agra to Bikaner.

....or you may use 2463 from Delhi to Bikaner, which runs on three days in a week.

I have finden the train I want to book, but I have some difficulties to book it.
Indeed, I select the train, the name of the passengers and age, the e-ticket, but when arrive the moment to pay, they ask me to select a bank. I have made different tests by selecting different banks, but at each trial, I received a mail informing that the transaction has failed.
Can someone explain me what I have to do to book this ticket.
