Delhi Railway Station
Delhi Railway Station
Hi
I understand from the lonely planet book that there is an International Tourist Bureau at Delhi Train station.
Has any used it? Is it easier than buying tickets normally?
One thing that puzzled me from the book, was that it said that tickets must be paid by rupees backed up by a money exchange certificate. I was planning on taking minimal cash and having several credit & debit cards plus some travellers cheques. Assuming that you dont get excahnge certificates when withdrawing cash, will i still be able to buy tickets here?
all comments and help gratefully accepted
Cheers

Buy your tickets with £ notes.
The International Tourist Bureau is on the first floor in New Delhi station.
The touts on the ground floor will do anything to get you to go to their office, but trust me, if they tell you you're a man, put your hand down your trousers to check, you can't beleive anything they say.
Tell them you're going to meet a friend upstairs.
Yes, it easier than buying tickets normally.
