Delhi - Amritsar

Has anyone heard of any unsafe incidents occuring on over night train from Delhi to Amritsar? Just wondering if it's safe to travel there.

Thanks in advance.

Some MP's kid was thrown from an Amritsar-Delhi train last year, but that was an individual incident and could have happened for any reason.

I receive Indian Railway news feeds and the above is the only incident I can remember in the last couple of years on this route.

Not in India.

There are 3 well-timed daily overnight trains taking between 10.5 hours and 12 hours, yet there are fast Shatabdi daytime trains covering the distance in less that 6 hours.
