Coupes for Honeymoon couples!!!!!!

Well, is there any gurantee that the railways will allot the 2 berth coupe to the Honeymoon couple? What will be the scenario if no. of Honeymoon couples are more than the no. of 2 berth Coupes? Please also let me know that, where I should apply to get the 2berth Coupe after purchasing the Online Ticket?

I am unable to understand what is the actual pattern of Coupes present in Train no. 2837 (HWH - PURI Exp.)as 2837 shows availability of 15 (Online), while 2838(Puri HWH) is showing only 11 (online)on the opening date itself. If someone can help me in this matters, I will be very much grateful to him.

If you reserve using "Reservation Counters" , you could indicate the option of 2 Berth Coupe on the form itself . That would be given preference is what is told by the staff when I tried to reserve First Class for My family [Me , My wife and 1 year daughter] some time back and infact we got 2 Berth Coupe at that time . You could try this instead of online reservation.

There is no preference given for "Honeymoon Couples" as such and once I saw in another FC class Travel ,Some 60 + Senior Couple were allocated 2 Berth Coupe and a younger couple[ who got allocated a 4 Berth coupe] talking to TTE and the older Couple to Swap !..

##In a Full IAC Coach (or) FC Coach, the total number of Berths are 18, which are divided into:

**3 Cabins, each containing Four Berths;
**3 Coupes, each containing Two Berths;

##In a partial IAC or FC Coach, the total number of Berths are
10, which are divided into:

**2 Cabins, each containing Four Berths;
**1 Coupe, each containing Two Berths;

##If you can go to the PRS Counter, atleast you can record your request, for allotment of a Coupe, into the PRS, which, however, might get accepted at the time of taking Final Charts on the day of departure!!!

i have booked the tickets online, & would like to know about the procedure hereafter for getting the coupes. When & where should I go & ask for the Coupes? Is the TTE of the coach is the ultimate authority who should be approached before the departure? Please specify the time & person as I will be boarding the train from a terminal Station, Howrah. It will be very helpfull for me.

##Had you gone 'personally' to Jamshedpur PRS Counter, your request could have, atleast, been fed into the system which is NOT possible to do online.

##You will NOT be able to have access to the spot where Charts are finalised, but you can certainly meet the Chief Reservation Supervisor who sits in the Howrah PRS Office and make a request atleast six hours before the scheduled departure of the train and try your luck!!!
