confused about trains!
Sorry everyone, but I'm completely confused even after reading the numerous helpful posts and trying to navigate throught the slow indiarail website...
Here's the deal. I'm trying to get from delhi to kerala (cochin?) and then from kerala to bombay. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to look at train schedules to find out how long the trips are or how many stops etc. Can someone walk me through exactly how to find this info, and maybe specifically for my itinerary. thanks for your help and I'm sorry if this is not worthy of a post. |

Log on to the site:
http://www.indianrail.gov.in Click the option"Train between imp. stations". Select "New Delhi" as the source station and "Cochin" as the destination station. Select the class you wish to travel by and then click on "Get it". You will get a list of all trains running between the stations selected and which have the accomodation of your choice. Then select the train you desire and click on"Get schedule" or "Get Fare" or "Get Availability", depending on what is it that you are looking for. Repeat the procedure for "Cochin" and "Mumbai". All the best !
