Confused about station names - Gokarn
Hi
I can't seem to find how to convert place names to station names. Is there an easy way? I want to go from Mumbai to Gokarn, but don't know what the station name for Gokarn is. I'll be travelling south from Mumbai about 10 days after I arrive in India. Would it be advisable to book online now or could I wait until we get to Delhi? Another query regarding Indian Airlines. I want to book a flight online but one of us is eligible for the under-30 discount. Can this be applied for online when you make the booking? Thanks for your help, this is a fantastic site for first-timers to India. |

Gokarn station is called Gokarna Road. Not many trains stop their as it is a relatively small station. From Mumbai, MATSYAGANDHA EX (train # 2619) stops at Gokarna (Start from mumbai at 2.05 pm and reached Gokarn at 1.55 am the same night).
You may try to get down at Kumta or Karwar, if you dont want to reach Gokarn in the middle of the night!

Go to Karwar, better connections & then move to Gokarna.
