Circular journey ticket and Break of journey.
I am planning for a circular journey ticket on following route
New Delhi –Madgaon – Calicut – Ernakulam – kottyam –Trivandrum –Kanyakumari- Madurai – Trichy –New Delhi Between Trichy and New Delhi I want to stop at Chennai for less than 24 hours without showing it as break of journey. (Say arriving at Chennai in morning and at night board Taminalnadu Exp. For New Delhi). Since there are direct trains Between Trichy and New Delhi do the Indian railway rule allow this. Thanks in advance Cosmo |

Dear Cosmopolite,
This will not be treated as Break of Journey. You can arrive in Madras Egmore by Rockfort and then book your onward journey by 2621. ----- But ensure that you will reach New Delhi on the day the validity of your CJT expires. :-) ----- V.Srinivasa Prasad 8.2.2006/12.30 hrs. |
