Changing I -ticket to E-ticket?

Hi - train I want is waitlisted. Can I book as an I-ticket and then change it over to E-ticket? (I don't have an Indian address - should I send the tx post restante in Goa?)

Need berths for 2 people, preferably 3ac or 2ac - but desperate enough to take sleeper... on jan 4 from goa (MAO) to (TVC) Kerala.

I also posted on a thread in Itinerary - but it seems the jist of my question belongs here.

I realize it's quite early in India, and maybe too late in UK for Steven Ber?

I'm pretty sure you cant do this. I ran into the same problem but had the tickets sent to the first hotel I will be staying at no problem.

I agree.

The only way would be to cancel and rebook. But that would loose your waitlist place and defeat the object.

So... no.

Would it make sense to send i-tickets to "post restante" in Margoan? Any one done this???

I found a different train with berths on it for my e-ticket.
