Changing destination on rail ticket

Hi There

We are taking an overnight sleeper train between Madurai and Kollam in December, arriving in Kollam at 9am. Due to a few changes in circumstances we might need to get off the train at Trivandrum instead (I've checked, it stops there at 6am ish). Would we need to change our ticket to do this or can we simply just get off a few stops early?

Thanks

You can just simply get off the train. Otherwise you can cancel the current ticket and book a new one if it is cheaper.

If you wish to get off on a prior station there is no problem. No need to get the get the ticket amended.
