Chances of my WL2 & WL3 tix on Bangalore express (chennai-bangalore) to be confirmed

I have a AC CC tix on the bangalore express for 14th-Aug-08 showing as WL2 & WL3. What are the chances of this confirming? If its not confirmed can I get into the AC CC coach or do I have to travel my the unreserved compartment

You can get into the AC CC coach only with a confirmed ticket.

(I'm assuming that RAC does not exist for CC? What would be the point: sit in a chair until a chair becomes available. Train experts, am I right?)

Have you never travelled in CC Nick?

I was travelling in CC a while ago, I was having a look around and imagining how great the class would be with a retractable roof (though Indian travellers would insist "I paid to travel with a roof" ), when my attention was drawn to a man having an argument with 2 children.

He said they jumped on to his RAC footprints when he went to the loo, I was surprised, he seemed like a well dressed man, and there were no men in white coats surrounding him, ha chased the kids away and I couildn't beleive my eyes, there were 4 sets of footprints painted on the floor of the corridoor, and between each foot were the letters RAC, it seems Lalu has found a new way to make money.

Yes, only joking.

No RAC in CC.

I'd say you've got a great chance of your tickets becoming confirmed, though I cant do any check at the moment as the Indian Railway website is having sweet dreams at the moment.

You would have to travel in an unreserved carriage if your tickets repained waitlisted.

I was wait listed at 56 and got an AC berth out of Bangalore. A friend told me that travel agents buy up blocks of desirable tickets and then turn them back in for a refund hours before the train departs. I was shuffled around a bit for the first hour or two but finally ended up with a side berth, the upper was used by a guy who had been 60 on the wait list. Therefor I don't think 1 or 2 is much to worry about, but since those travel agents don't need to bring their tickets back for a refund until an hour before the train's departure, you probably won't be able to confirm until very close to the time of departure.
