CC in long distance trains - feasible?

I will be traveling to Delhi shortly and I see CC mentioned in a super fast train from Chennai. Isn't that chair car? It is Rs 200 cheaper than 3 AC but how can one sit in a CC for a day and half without sleeping or is it just meant for the poor who just have to get there ? or may be I understood wrong as in what CC is. The train in question is 2611, Chennai - Delhi.

The poor use Sleeper class

Have travelled often Mumbai to Delhi many years ago by CC. If you are young, it is just about bearable. I would rather travel sleeper class than CC on long journeys today- or better still, fly

For Chennai/Delhi, spend the 200, is my advice.
