As per rules, a TTE has to wait for at least two stops from the original boarding station before he can allot the seat/berth to someone else. So you cna relax as I am sure there cannot be more than two stops between the original boarding station and Secundrabad.

I have done it a couple of times once when I missed my train to Varanasi from Lucknow, the train stopped at City station and then Badshahbagh, I managed to catch it at Badshahbagh and got my seat too.

Dear livinhimalayas,

As per rules, a TTE has to wait for at least two stops from the original boarding station before he can allot the seat/berth to someone else.

##If I am correct, there is no such Rule, but it is only a convention that the TTEs would wait till next stop (**but not two stops).

##The RAC Passengers in 2728 are normally asked to wait till KZJ, the next stop for 2728, and they look for the passengers, who booked their berths ex.HYB, only from Secunderabad onwards. But, in the case of 2728, the TTEs would continue upto BZA; and they also wait till KZJ.

##But, in the case, the TTEs coming from TPTY would handover their charts to the TTEs who take-over in SC and get down from the train.

##In any case, I have stated, upto SC, normally, there should not be any problem.!!!
