Booking Trains On Irctc

OK,
After spending a considerable time on these forums learning about the booking process for India etc and a lot of research into suitable trains for our travel on www.indiarail.gov.in I finally have a rough itinerary and tried to get into www.irctc.co.in this morning to register so that I can play about and make sure I have everything I need to hand for the booking process. My hotel (HCK Guesthouse in Delhi) have agreed to hold onto my tickets for me until I get there, so they have provided me with the address for delivery of tickets etc.

So, I stick www.irctc.co.in onto my address bar on the net and I can't seem to get into the website. I remember reading somewhere that it is only open at certain times, but I thought that it should be OK at 11am UK time as this should be 4.30pm in India. Can anyone tell me if it is usual to experience log in issues with this site or is it more likely to be a problem with firewalls or something with my computer? I have been getting into other websites this morning without any issues.

Thanks again for all your help with this. Just need to be able to get into the reservation site - I expected to experience difficulties finding my way round the site but didn't expect there to be a problem getting into it in the first place. any ideas?
