Hi,

I'm a relative novice with Indian trains too, but I just read somewhere that booking online doesn't work all hours of the day and night, and may work better in the morning if you're in Europe.

Good luck!

You need to book between 5 AM to 11.30 PM (Indian Standard Time)

Hi .I have tried using all the above helpful hints and the error message still comes up (booking not allowed for given pair of stations). Even when availablity is given as 2. As a bit of an experiment i tried Varanasi (BSB)to Guwahati(GHY).up came a price.Got through to payment stage no problem. Now very confused of Torpoint. Famous for its ferry.

I've read somewhere a post of VSP that in Rajdhani you cannot book tickets between two intermediate stations. You should either board or alight the train from originating or destination station. That would be the reason that we are not able to book tickets

Hi.I must thank you for your very helpful reply.Yes what you said does make sense. To over come my problem could Ibook my tickets from Varanasi jn(BSB)to Guwahati (GHY)only travel to New Japlpaiguri(NJP). I am aware this might be a more expensive option. Many thanks for your reply
