As far as I know, all waitlisted e-tickets are automatically cancelled and refund is processed.

You can write to irctc to reconfirm.

On a different Note : This also means that if you board a train with waitlisted e-ticket it is as good as boarding train without a ticket and you will be charged for ticketless travel.

Ribhu is right ! I forgot, they automayically cancel the WL tickets, if they are E tickets.

But did you three people travel on this ticket ? if yes, how ?

You have not mentioned whether you travelled on the train or not. If the three of you had travelled by the same ticket you would not get your money back for the other two WL tickets.

Dear Anusha,

I don't think in this case, the amount will be credited "automatically" because the entire PNR DID NOT get cancelled, that means, ALL THE PASSENGERS have not cancelled their journey but one passenger had travelled.

##The IRCTC DO NOT know whether the other two passengers have "actually" performed the journey or not, since their names also would have appeared in the Waiting List (**though NOT confirmed). This means they CAN get into the train and run after the conductor for a berth.

##It is NOT known whether the passenger who performed the journey saw to it that the entry "Not Performed Journey" was made against these two names. If not, I am very much doubtful whether the amount will be coming back to you.

##In any case, as soon as the amount comes back to you, please let us know.!!!

VSP, I think this should be an e-ticket.

As per VSP's post, you wont get back directly

As it was a e-ticket, why dont you file TDR online.
