@Sourabh,

##I think you are travelling by 2707. If so, please look at the schedule of 2708 NZM-SC-TPTY A.P.S.K.Express:
--------------------------------------------
8 SC SECUNDERABAD JN 1 09:15 09:30 1660 2
9 KCG KACHEGUDA 1 09:43 09:45 1667 2
---------------------------------------------

##The "actual" journey time is 13 minutes for 7 Kms.!!!!

I have two queries:

1. I have booked ticket on 7th August from Mumbai CST to Pune by 6381 Kanyakumari Exp with Boarding Station as Dadar. I will be boarding at Dadar & my friend would be boarding at Kalyan so will it do or he has to board at Dadar only?

2. While returning from Pune we have booked for 1022 Indrayani Exp on 9th August. We both are starting from Pune but he will be getting down at Kalyan & I would be getting down at Dadar. Since, he is getting down at Kalyan he won't be having ticket with him so can he take xerox copy of ticket & show it to TTE?

I dont think it would be an issue for your friend to board the train at Kalyan. You can carry one print of the ticket, if it is e-ticket and let him carry one more (as he would be boarding from there and any TTE may ask him in the platform). In case the TTE in the train comes (generally they come after Kalyan), you can intimate that the second person is joining in Kalyan.

Your friend can carry a copy of the ticket. If e-ticket, let him have a print.

Hi Arunganpath,

1. I have booked ticket at dadar reservation counter. Anyways, my friend would be taking a local ticket to kalyan so I think a xerox copy of the ticket is not required since he is having local card ticket.

2. He can carry a xerox copy of the ticket since my friend would be getting down at kalyan & TTE might ask him the ticket.

I wish to get reservation from Patna to Bangalore but board at Nagpur which comes after 15 hrs .This is bacause the tickets are not available from Nagpur but available from Patna.I know that the facility earlier existed for tatkal tickets but can it be done the same for normal tickets as well for such a long duration gap

Dear apoorv,

##If you write Patna to Bangalore with NGP as Boarding at the time of making Reservation, you will get the ticket against NGP Quota only.

##Please check up from NGP Station whether they would include NGP as Boarding Point, if you reserve your berth under Patna Quota, that is, from Patna to Bangalore.

If you are booking at irctc.co.in. Just select the train from Patna to Bangalore at the screen where you type in your name, age etc there is a tab which states boarding ststion change the boarding station to Nagpur. Then proceed towards payment.

Dear Gaurav,

##In that case, he will be placed in NGP-SBC Quota, though he pays for PNBE-SBC Fare, but NOT PNBE-SBC Quota.

I have booked several such tickets. Just try logging inro irctc and check. You dont have to make a Payment to check this..!!

Though what your saying happens if you try booking at a Normal PRS railway booking counter but not over Irctc.

Yes you can but make sure you have the copy of their ticket. Only lead passenger needs to be present and talk to the TTE. He would tell TTE rest all are present in train but in some other compartment.
