Best Route between Shimla and Amritsar??

Hi, does anyone know how easy it is to travel between Shimla and Amritsar? I may be packing too many places into see but I really want to see both of them during my month in India. Does anyone know how easy it would be to get a driver in Shimla and how much it would cost? Is there a train service?Thanks

hi. from shimla , get down to chandigarh (105kms). regular buses play between the cities. and then chandigarh to amritsar (230kms)

( chandigarh-rupnagar-nawashahr-pharwara-jallandar-kartarpur-amritsar )

can anyone help me to make a travel plan to thirunallar, thirumanamcheri, thirunageshwaram, and to tiruvannamalai. am planning to take train or bus from kollam kerala.
