Berth Position in 2nd Class AC Compartment

Hey Indian Mikers,
Namastey from my side.

I am going to Mumbai with My family on 25th of june.

I have booked 7 Tickets in NDLS BCT RAJ SP Train Number : 09006

We have been alloted berths as follow :

Passenger 1 A2 , 23,GN CNF
Passenger 2 A2 , 24,GN CNF
Passenger 3 A2 , 17,GN CNF
Passenger 4 A2 , 18,GN CNF
Passenger 5 A2 , 5,GN CNF
Passenger 6 A2 , 6,GN CNF

Can Someone tell me what seats will I get ?

I will really appreciate your help.
Is there also anyway we can group together all the seats as all the seats are not together?

Passenger 1 A2 , 41,GN CNF

This also :/

Please if anyone have an idea let me know.
Its a special Rajhdhani which runs late night at 23:55 from NDLS to Mumbai ( BCT )

I think you booked bit late,
All seats are Side Upper & Side Lower.
Rearrangement only depends on your fellow passengers, If you were able to convince them for exchange.

All are separated.

Can I pay some extra Cash to TTE if he can help me out?

No, that won't work.

You have to look at the plus points.

1, all 7 tickets confirmed.

2, all in the same carriage.

3, you'll be split in to 3 groups of 2, and one person on their own.

I'm sure 1 of the group will be happy to be on their own, and they'll still be close to the rest of the group, split the rest into 3 compatible couples, you'll all go to sleep when you board the train, then in the morning the couples will be sitting facing each other.
.
SOS: Missing Person...

Please look at this thread, even if you are not in India.: Have you seen Jonathan Spollen?

He could be anywhere now: You might have met him, be able to help, or give information.

Don't bother trying to convince fellow passengers - I doubt if people in "regular" berths (not side) would exchange for side berths.

Just live with it & as Steven_ber wrote you have confirmed berths - this in itself is precious during the holiday season.

Cheers

i agree. most of the inner berths are held up for senior citizens, tatkal & HO quota, exchanging with them is going to be an uphill task, keeping in mind that people in 2A are 'usually' not very social to begin with...
since you have 7 berths, there would be no way you can be seated together anyway, as one section has 4 inner & 2 side berths.
it is good that you have each couple seated together, so relax & enjoy... at best you can get A2-41 (LB) to be exchanged with any lower berth close to the other 3 couples, if the target person is traveling alone. all the best!

A small question?

Will I have a Laptop or My Tablet charging socket in side berth seats?

I do not recall seeing these sockets in side berths.

I have always preferred the side berths and spend time on the site trying to get them. They're a few inches shorter, but you get the option of closing your curtain and having privacy when you want it, and you can open the curtain when you want to be sociable. You have your own reading light and no one will turn on a light in your space while you're sleeping. Enjoy.

you will certainly have the socket, but it may or may not work... but since you have at least 3 such options, chances are one of them WILL work...

i agree, and prefer side upper (if alone) as NO ONE can disturb you & you get enough headroom to sit & work (if needed).
but then, it is better to get 3A instead of 2A for that, as the additional price for 2A in case of side upper berth is hardly justifiable...
btw, you may have the reading light, but it may or may not work in 2A. it will rarely work in 3A, if at all provided...

I've always found that on most trains they will come by and take an order for a meal, and bring it by later, either cooked in the pantry car if there is one, or picked up at a stop. You also have time at the longer stops to go out on the platform and get things.
