Bangalore to Goa?

I have the train timetable book, but I can't see that this train exists! This suprises me, as I read elsewhere that there is a weekly service.

Can anyone help?

Also, I'm concerned by the number of journeys I've wanted to book recently that have been fully booked. Is it possible to book future reservations from smaller stations, or only from the computerised places at major stations?

Re. the second question, if it helps, I'm currently in Pondicherry, I want to book the following trains:

Trivandrum- Mangalore
Mangalore- Bangalore
Bangalore- Goa
Goa- Bangalore

On various dates between 15 October and 18 November.

Steven yes, that's the book I refer to

Yesvantpur is about 6kms north of the centre of Bangalore
Madgaon is the station you want in Goa (Margao) (3 days a week in both directions.)

I read about a daily Goa-Bangalore-Goa train today, well, not a train as such, carriages going part of the way with one train, then being attached to another train, giving a convenient daily overnight train between Goa & Bangalore.

However, the info must have been wrong, the Bangalore-Goa carriages were supposed to wait 22 hours at Hubli for the connecting train to Goa, I quickly checked on the Indian Railway website, but couldn't find any other info, I'll try to remember to look into this on Friday.

Last time I check, it was more convenient to take the over night bus between Goa and Bangalore.

Take Train 2725 Hubli Express Which Leaves Bangalore 14.30 Reaches Hubli 22.15

Then Take Train No 1048 Hubli Vasco Link Expres Which Leaves
Hubli At 23.00 And Reaches Vasco At 6.30.this Train Will Have A Halt Of 1.30 Min At Londa Jn Waiting For Delhi -goa Express
Then This Train Coaches Will Be Attached To Goa Train .

you could take the afternoon intercity to Hubli and connect to the slip coaches which are taken by the Miraj Express [a truncated version perhaps of the old MG era] and split at Londa to the Goa Express from Delhi. The margin is slim though
