ahmedabad-udaipur train

Hi,
I am thinking of going from Ahmedabad to Udaipur by the night train in late January and I wonder if somebody knows if bedding is provided for the First Class passengers (by payment of fee or for free as in AC) or do I need to bring along my blankets.
Also how cold it could be in the train (late Jan).

Dear Mehra,
In the Book TRAINS AT A GLANCE in Page No.248 under the caption Passenger Amenities, the following information is provided:-

Q: Are bedrolls given free to passengers travelling in AC Coaches?
A: Yes, bedrolls are supplied free of cost, to all passengers travelling in AC First Class, AC 2 Tier and AC 3-Tier.
===============
So, there is no provision for providing Bed Rolls FREE to the First Class Passengers.

Since, almost all the FC Coaches have been phased out, with a few exceptions like 9943/9944 (ADI-UDZ Express), the Station Supdt., Ahmedabad should be able to tell you whether they are providing Bed Rolls to the FC Passengers on payment basis.
