A1 coach on shatabdi express

hi everyone..
I am about to book a train ticket from vadodara to mumbai on the shatabdi express but my main problem is my luggage as i will be flying out the same evening to the UK!! i have two big bags... now shatabdi is showing two ticket options.. CC and A1 .. i know there is hardly any room on CC for large luggage (n it gets completely occupied) but what about the A1 coach?? does it have more room?

Executive class on Shatabdis is more spacious than CC. The seats are arranged 2+2 rather than 3+2. I'm not sure how big your bags are, We had no problems with a 60 litre rucsac and good sized hold all between Jaipur and Delhi even though all of the seats on the train were occupied.
Somehow they always manage to get everybody's luggage on when you travel by train in India. Somewhere on the Indaian Railways site you can find the luggage allowance by weight for each class. It's huge compared with airlines.

thanks dave!! our luggage is about 2 ft high (roughly)in height and about 1 & half ft wide and weight just under 28 kgs!!! i am stuck on the train as it is at the perfect time i want to travel!!! all other trains are either night trains or take off the whole day of my last day in sunny india before i return back to rainy england :P

You should have no bother with those. You get meals included on the Shatabdi as well. Delicious Paneer Curry seems to feature in them all
