Question 12201/KCVL garib rath , weird seat number 82

Hi fellas,

Iam a novice to this forum and happy to say that this is my first post...

here is my doubt which i am not understanding...

recently i have booked from Thane to Shoranur in 12201/KCVL garib rath on Oct 26 2012.

Coach no - G2
Seat Number - 82 lower berth

Seat is confirmed. but i heard that coaches in garib rath has 78 or 81 seat configuration..
but the seat no 82 which i got in my ticket is confusing...

kindly if any one knows about the seat tell me whether its near to door or something...

pls advice me on this as this is my first time travel in garib rath..

Some Garib Raths also have 84-berth configurations. I guess yours is one of them.

It is not a good idea to be picky with the Indian Railways. As it is getting LBs on any train is a tough ask. If there are a "handful of seats" left I much doubt there will be better berths available for the taking.

Have you already booked? Did it work?

Try as often as you please, but DON'T cancel your ticket BEFORE you have a better one.

i never tried this before

but ticket rate is cheap and with good seat availablity count ...
also cancellation charges is 60 bucks for 3AC.. and one important reason is i am 6 ft tall..

and so i could take a chance...
