There was another drink called Gold Spot, long ago; it was orange flavour; had the punchline "The zing thing...GoldSpot". Don't see that now a days. And yeah, Limca rocks! Lemony limca Campa Cola caused those big burning burps through your nose for an hour after you drink it. Greetings all! |

Sorry to introduce a sour note in this sweet drink thread, but what to drink if we really don't want to support the coca cola company? Do they own everything these days?

I loved Miranda..With salt and lime..Yum, I almost forgot about it..1 night i was just dying for a margarita..We were staying in Karauli at a Maharaja's Palace..They only had rum and gin (yuk)..So i ordered a rum, and just used a little at a time with Miranda and the salt and lime.. And it was good.. |

), with a pinch of salt, by the street-side vedors. It is said to be unhygienic, so have to look for a clean n tidy one. |

I personal start a road side Masala Chai.
For sodas aPepsi just to get me focused. The last time I was leaving India I was real thirsty and downed a couple of Lemon Lemca's for a smooth farewell, and I was full of wind until Singapore and bunged up chronic for a day after arriving back in Aust and then ... well thankfully the supermarket had a shower though they were not impressed that I found it. But i really like Lemon Lemca! When I can find it a really well made Lassi and supplying your own Banana or Mango makes it extra curly with real solid curd floating on the top. |

Just look at the expression on the vendors face when you ask for any kalimark colour soda. they'll think you're an India expert. When all else fails, there is always coconut water.... |

mmmmm, Maaza mango drink!!!!!!! brings back fond memories, that stuff was great!!!! Altho it was hard to drink it really fast to give the bottles back, if u were in a hurry.
A nice Lassi (sp?) was good to, altho its really not a soft drink. |
