When to eat?
When to eat?
I know that spanish and german people eat at quite different times. If you go into a spanish restaurant at 18:00h (6 pm) and order dinner you'll probably get some strange looks. In Germany this would be perfectly normal.
So, what about india?
Is there something like "siesta", a time where you shouldn't try to go to restaurants or shopping at all?

11 pm in any city in India, you can find a dozen different places to eat (x100 if you are in Mumbai). At worst in a small town head for the railway station
(just try getting someting to eat other than Taco Bell in any US city after 11 pm)

There is some siesta times in certain areas. If you go to Diu I think the whole island is asleep during the afternoon hours. Try getting a meal then....good luck, everything is shut closed.
Generally I have seen places shut down after lunch and then reopen for dinner. So between 1pm and 6pm it is sometimes difficult in certain areas to find a restaurant open.
If your like me and sleep until 12pm you end up starving until dinner time or living off of chips until then.
