Vandy I was going to ask you to post a pic of yourself, but I clicked on your profile and I can't beleive that you are not larger than you are. All I can say is that you are lucky not to put on weight. Lord, Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill because they pissed me off.

There's an Indian restaurant where I live ... they have exactly the same dish (halibut with mustard sauce). That thing is to die for :-)

Dum ka Murgh (Roast chicken) from last weekend, lunch. It got a little drier than I like it...

Hyderabadi, is it Roast Chicken or is it Dum Murgh? Because the Dum Murgh I know isn't roast chicken for sure :-) Looks yummy! Biryani to go?

Supposed to be Dum ka Murgh, I think we goofed up a bit.. This used to be made at home in our village on special occasions or some days just as a 'feel good dish'. Slow cooked in a covered, wide thick bottom deep pan on wood fire/coal, finished with wood coals on the cover. We tried to replicate the process (first time in US, with mom supervising the spices) with chicken kheema and boiled egg stuffed cornish hen in the oven,,,,,it tasted the same but it was not exactly as I remember it.

I think we need to cover the baking pan with foil next time.
So, yes, It's like a Roast Chicken Indian Style.

Edit: No Biryani, just Baghara Rice.
That murgh looks delicious, Hyderabadi!
I've got chicken marinating in my mom's tandoori marinade recipe. Looking forward to a cookout with friends today.
