I'm sure we have a case here of Western sensibilities versus Eastern sensibilities, and how seldom the twain shall meet and all that - but that one remark was deeply offensive, in my view.
(I'm sure u've read a lot of my posts by now to know that I don't get the flame-thrower out that quick).
It wud have been ideal of course if your request for keeping it gentle and civil had been triggered by post #7 and not by #28, but it's not for me to tell u how to do your job.
