>Can anyone recommend any good snacks to take on long bus and train rides in
India?<

I always get on the train with mandarins, a couple of bananas, biscuits and hard-boiled eggs.... and then get more snacks from the vendors if I see something that looks yummy go by.

There are great cashew snacks when you go through Andra Pradesh -- don't miss 'em!

We took lots of chips (what the British call crisps!!) and vodka and coke...There were about 6 of us in one compartment (2 from Canada and 4 from England)..We had an awesome time eating, drinking and exchanging laughs!!
