Name this sweet!

Hi all,
I am searching for the name of a sweet we had in southern India earlier this year (I am pretty sure it was Pondicherry... though it could have been Madurai... probably inconsequential). For lack of a better description, the feel in your mouth when you bit into it was like what you think biting into pink house insulation would be... or maybe cotton candy... kind of stringy and dissolved on the tongue. It was cut into squares maybe 1" and tasted like banana. I really thought I would remember the name of it, and I cant.
Thanks for reading and helping if you can!
-Mya
