Name that meal
Here's a new competition because I'm bored at work (and I have no idea to the answer of "Where was this photo taken?" and I'm too polite to jump in with another photo while dreamsyndicate has one going)... what's this called?

Julie... eating is important. Log off and go open your fridge now. Yes, it was delicious... and cost me about 5 rupees!

Ok...Ok...You are so right! Must eat before sleeping or I'll dream of naan all night... I'm outta here and scarfing some captain crunch (peanut butter) and off to dream land! Food...Good.

maree, I think you should have excluded NRI's and PIO's here, they have an unfair advantage. Unless you have a photo of a 4n20 or a teddy bear smeared with vegemite.

Colin...just between you and me... I'm actually hoping someone in India will start to offer some answers because, if the truth be known, I don't have a clue what the answer is!!
I just thought it looked delish so had some for breakfast one morning. Perhaps I can change the question for people like yourself.... where in India did I eat this breakfast?? I know the answer to that one... |

Naan with Chhole(White chick-peas, also called Kabuli chana) ?
Very popular in North India.

That sounds about right, Shimla.... I was going to call it chana masala if really pressed for an answer. So where did I eat it then?

Chana is gram (black/yellow), as opposed to Chhole, which is chick-pea. There is a difference.
Now, where did you eat it ???? My guess is either Amritsar or Pathankot !! |

Good idea for a thread maree but I'm afraid I'm going to run out of pics very soon. Perhaps some of the Indian members can get their digicams out and set us a few puzzles.
I'm not going to ask people to name every item in this meal - the question is where did we have it? |
