Name that food

I have photos of food we ate - mainly on the street - the name of which I never knew, couldn't understand, or have forgotten. As I go through our photos (a long long process!) I intend to post these pictures - and say where they were taken - in the hope that I can put a name to my tasty memories.. feel free to do the same!

Here's the first one, taken in Agra (starts with A, first lot of photos!)

Ecellent, thanks - here's another one taken in Bundi. These were scrumptious and fiery hot - the stall was also selling samosas

No they tasted completely different - once my eyes had stopped watering, they came with a sauce.

Oh my gosh - I elect this the best thread ever. Nothing better than staring at pictures of food before bedtime I'll have to see if I have any unusual pics in my album - or better yet my failed attempts at cooking
