Hi guys,
How about posting some speciality food joints you had enjoyed. I prefer the following qualifications for the eating joints: 1. It needs to be that extra something special 2. Should be from an authentic regional cuisine 3. Preferably, it should not be very expensive (i have known some of the dhabas serve better/fresh food than any five star hotel) 4. Should not be from any chain (like Nirulas/Saravanas etc) I take this oppurtunity to post the first one: Amritsari Golguppas at Sector-29 in NOIDA (diagonally opposite to DPS, NOIDA). This joint serves excellant Golguppas (Pani Pooris) with 5 different tastes of waters (all different colors) and costs Rs.15. Apart from this, they have Aloo tikki and dahi bhalla chat only. They don't serve too may varieties. And you should see to believe the clientele they have. I look forward to listing more joints like this in this thread. Regards

Any authentic rajasthani/Gujrathi food joints in and around Delhi
Info on this is very much appreciated. There are a lot of punjabi and Bengali restraunts in in around NCR but no typical rajasthani/Gujrathi eating joints.

Does it have to be Delhi...
Arul Jyothi (not sure of exact spelling) in Trivandrum is one of my faves. Their dosa's are lovely as is all the other food and very reasonably priced. They also do great Badam Shakes
