Well, I know an Indian-born lady who, when visiting Chennai with her months-old baby bought and used only Marks & Spencer imported mineral water for the baby!
Not so silly, in a way... this same lady and her husband, on a previous visit to their own house here were hospitalised. The doctors told them, nothing serious at all; just you've been away long enough to loose the immunity you used to have to your own tap water! I was joking about bringing your own water... with a mental image of crates of Perrier being unloaded from the luggage conveyor at the airport! ![]() I bet someone's done it!

I've already booked the container and a fleet of perrier-wallahs to carry it around, pausing only to pour it into my open mouth

Real 'Peal me a grape' stuff!
I can imagine your retinue of staff, all wearing silly colourful uniforms, and carrying your luggage on a train of elephants. Pity they'll never be able to keep up with your AC car! ![]() |

Wasn't there something about those old colonial chaps marching off into the bush with the bathtub in tow?
