Well, I know an Indian-born lady who, when visiting Chennai with her months-old baby bought and used only Marks & Spencer imported mineral water for the baby!

Not so silly, in a way... this same lady and her husband, on a previous visit to their own house here were hospitalised.

The doctors told them, nothing serious at all; just you've been away long enough to loose the immunity you used to have to your own tap water!

I was joking about bringing your own water... with a mental image of crates of Perrier being unloaded from the luggage conveyor at the airport!

I bet someone's done it!

I've already booked the container and a fleet of perrier-wallahs to carry it around, pausing only to pour it into my open mouth

Real 'Peal me a grape' stuff!

I can imagine your retinue of staff, all wearing silly colourful uniforms, and carrying your luggage on a train of elephants.

Pity they'll never be able to keep up with your AC car!

Wasn't there something about those old colonial chaps marching off into the bush with the bathtub in tow?
