Koya powder for ice cream maker ?
I got an ice cream make recently and after trying all sorts of recipes I fancy doing kulfi type ice cream.
Is there such a thing as indian koya powder (I know I could use dry milk but in England it does not have the unique taste of proper Indian koya). So is there such a thing as commercial koya powder ? My folks are in India so I can ask them to buy it if someone can tell me if it is available. Thanks. |

Put simply it is reduced milk.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Khoa_(food) I dont fancy stirring a pan of milk for a few hours to get quality khoya and the possible alternatives do not have that distinct indian khoya taste. |
