on park street - next to olympia restaurant/bar - gate leading into karnani mansions.

have a single aanda [egg] double mutton [2 katis] ...
carry napkins - them juices and oil tend to dribble down the chin!

the katis in post#14 look just as, if not even more yummy than the one's in post#22 vandy
hopefully the calcutta katis didnt give you a rumble in your tum tums !!

Out here on the IIT KGP campus we have a Punjabi Dhaba - good stuff.

They do make a Chicken roll, Egg roll but when I go there I ask for something different:

Egg roll with liver pieces with some gravy/onions/green chillies + either chicken or mutton boneless.

Greasy - yeas, tasty - Yummy.

Often I have 2 of those with Chinese Hot & Sour Soup which they make rather well.

It is not for the "healthy folks"

What a combination - going to do it tonight and will try to take some pictures & post them.

Had been following this thread for sometime and after having seen all those photos you are posting, I was compelled to comment! The photos are lovely and looks yummy, too!

I am a veggie, so would like to know if you had tried out anything interesting which you would recommend?

As mentioned earlier, having followed this thread, yesterday, while I was in a Super market here in Mumbai, caught a glimpse of 'Goja' a Bengali sweet, I am told! Brought it home and tasted, loved it. So if you haven't tried it, please do try that, though I feel it's a variation of 'Kala Jamun'(Black Jamun - common Indian sweet), it tasted Yummy! Chunky & lot of body to it - gives a lot of satisfaction ! Brishti will be in a better position to throw some light on that, wot say brishti?
