Do tell us about your feast bobby. Paradise was much better earlier. The biriyani at Shabad and Amina near Salerjung museum is better

I have never had much time for this "Best" stuff when it comes to basic foods like dosa and biryani.

But since having mutton biryani at a muslim wedding here, I can say, without hesitation, that I doubt it will be equalled in any public restaurant!!!!! No bone, no fat, not to much chilly --- just delicious! Definitely the best!

Try Jawahar, which is near Karim in Jama Masjid area. Great food (better than Karim IMHO) and big portions.
Well, I must advise against Karims, but for a different reason.

I really wanted to taste a 'proper' biryani, so we ventured to Karims one night. I chose this moment to come off my 'veg-only when in India' kick, and had an extremely tasty chicken biryani.

Just as well it was tasty, because it tasted exactly the same when I projectile vomited my stomach contents at 3am. Luckily, my guts did a good job of removing the contents - I was fine after just one day of very loose stools (and I don't mean the hotel furniture ).

I will definitely avoid Karims in the future, I'm afraid.

Best in Kerala that I've had is at a new place by the owner of the Raj restaurants in Kunnamkulam. It's called The Villiage and is about 5km out of Kunnamkulam and is called thier "Special Biryani" (about 60 but worth every rupee!). The chicken is pretty much to die for.

And they have private rooms that are like tree houses without the tree. Wild.
