Lonelyaztec do visit Karim's hotel... the chefs/owners are descendents of dastars who served the Mughals.
Another place to go for good Biriyanis is the Nizamuddin area... visit Lazeez Durbar...
I will post the recipe for a Biriyani/Pulao made with fish today if I can manage some time as I am busy cooking Sunday lunch.... Jehangiri Khitchri & Raita with cucumbers !!!!

I went to RR on Church Street, Bangalore last week. They have a great biriyani and a spicy red chilli and coconut chicken.

Yummy !

Don't forget to finish the meal with a sweet lassi.

As a joke, RR is short for Roaring Rectum. The food is of Andhra cuisine and is HOT.

I am a bit late on this thread, but you should try a new place in Koramangala-Bangalore called Umerkot. The Biryani is awesome. I prefer it over samarkhand.

While Karims is good, it is overcrowded and the portions get smaller every year.
Try Jawahar, which is near Karim in Jama Masjid area. Great food (better than Karim IMHO) and big portions.

It seems they make the best biriyani, kababs et all.

If u know its name, address, pls put that here.

I know exactly where this is! Too bad I can't give you directions, but if I was there I could find it no problem. Oh well, good luck finding it, the food is superb!

The one near Jama Masjid? Their menu (http://www.karimhoteldelhi.com/course.html) Has the Murgh Biryani Anarkali, listed under the "Pulao and Rice" section.

No, please not at Paradise. I had their Hyderabadi Biryani the day before I met with all of you at the Hyd IM meetup & dinner a couple of weeks ago and it was disappointing. It was more like cooked (and colored rice) with 4 tiny pieces of mutton (half of them bones)- no gravy at all.
