Goan Fish?
Hi all,
I bought some wonderful fish masala while I was passing through Goa last year --- does anyone know what kind of fish is typically used in Goan fish curry? (or an equivalent that I might be able to find in NYC?) Thanks everyone!! S |

Sometimes pomfret is used. Check out this wicked cookbook/travel book: Mangoes and Curry Leaves by two Toronto authors. It has great recipes and stories.

More than likely it was kingfish. Pomfret is more expensive. Mackerel with a masala stuffing. Shark Rava fry is good.
