fruit juicers
i love having fresh fruit and vege juices but in the hot tropical climate of kerala, i started to be annoyed that the juicers were not cleaned more often and eventually would get my juices early in the day, so the flavour wasn't polluted by previous tastes, that can also become rancid from the heat.
sitting at the juice bar, near the chinese nets, in cochin was one of my favourite spots. watching the dolphin and the fishing and the sunsets! |

Noticed your post today - I feel the same about juices - I think if you are here a long time settled then you would buy a juice machine, or a plastic orange squeezer thing and do your own! Some of the juice places here leave a lot to be desired - I see them bashing ice on a filthy sack on the filthy street with what is probably a filthy hammer! I am not a great juice drinker myself, I prefer the whole fruit but i definitely think you have a good point in your post re hygiene.
Kerala -Cochin sounds very nice btw! I have never been there...
