Food Shortage
Living in Austin, TX, despite its other pluses, has become a drag due to the acute good Indian food shortage. If I had the guts, I'd open up a proper dhaba. Or even an authentic Chaat shop. The Gol Gappas here completely suck - no real bite. And no offense, but Gujurati food masquerading as North Indian doesn't cut it.
Oh for the days in Delhi, wandering into a random part of Lajpat Nagar and having all and sundry Pakoras right out of the Halwai's karhai. Or a 'Bun Samosa'! Finally de-lurking! |
