Exclamation DANGER: Donīt go to Pizza Express - Bombay DANGER

If you go to Bombay, a lot of care with be going to eat at Pizza Express, this month of October/05, they served me a really rotten, rotten chicken. To have eaten, passed the remainder of holidays in the hospital of Bombay instead of the beaches of Goa and Kerala.

adress of Pizza Express

The adress of the dangerous "Pizza Express" is Veer Nariman Road, in the
north side of the street (looking the map) and 100/150 meters from the
cross of the Veer Nariman Road / Marine Drive.

If this is that chain store establishment and you are agitated enough, you 'may' file a complaint with their office ... but do that without any expectations.

Surprising that you fell ill after eating there as my Italian friends really enjoyed their pizzas here and even went and congratulated the chef for their lovely experience by telling him that it was one of the best pizzas they ever had outside Italy, especially in a country like India where pizzas are not so well made usually. One of the pizzas they had also had chicken in it and no one fell ill!!! Must be an isolated case of bad food for you, I guess. I'm not condoning the place if they served you bad food and you have every right to complain, just sharing my only experience at the same place.

Cheers,
Aadil.

I love India

The problem in the restaurant of the message, has been the only problem, in 23 you days of trip through India.
I mean that the respect, the friendship and the happyness of mostly of the Indian people, is what I bring me of memory. And I will return to India, SURE!. Greetings

I've never had any problem at Pizza Express, although I eat at the one in Delhi. I think it's one of Delhi's best pizza places. It's a British chain, and the quality is exactly like the outlets in Cairo or Barcelona.

I think the big mistake is eating chicken. It's so easy to be a vegetarian in India, and so "iffy" when people without a lot of 'meat' experience are cooking (or undercooking) meat for you.

I think the veg options are safer in any restaurant in India!

Hope you feel better,
Warren

I'm confused . . .
is it that the chicken tasted rotten, and yet you ate it and became sick,

or did you not think there was anything wrong, and ate it and became sick?

If the second is true, then it could have been any number of vectors for the sickness, and if the first, well . . .

I am sorry you had a bad time, and glad to hear you will return.

Chicken of Pizza

Be very careful of fast food chicken anywhere in the world. If you have any doubts in India that the restaurant is up to par, do an inspection of their kitchen before you eat! Indians will not mind and if anything respect your standard expectations all the better. Touch the fridge to make sure their refridgeration is working efficiently or order a beer or soda before you order to make sure things are COOL!

I ate at the same Pizza Express in Mumbai about a month ago, tried one of their veg and also some of a chicken pizza and was fine. Great pizza, very yummy and they have a big selecion of veg and non veg.
Its the same with anywhere I guess, you always take a chance when eating meat on how its cooked/quality.
I was suprised and very lucky that I had no problems with anything I ate on my trip (except for 1 instance I mistook finely sliced green chillies on top of some garlic bread for spring onions )

Im sorry to hear you didnt get to enjoy the rest of your holiday and hope you get to return soon to finish your trip
